Senior IT Project Manager Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a strategic, business-critical project within an international technology environment. This role requires strong leadership across business and technical domains, ensuring effective collaboration between internal teams and external vendors while driving delivery excellence, governance, and stakeholder alignment. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full project lifecycle - from initiation through stabilisation - while maintaining strong executive communication and delivery standards. Contract Details Start: ASAP Contract Length: 12 months + extensions Engagement: Freelance / B2B Contract Location: Hybrid or Remote Work Environment: International project landscape Key Responsibilities Project Leadership Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a strategic IT project Lead project planning, execution, delivery, and stabilisation phases Ensure delivery aligns with business objectives and technical strategy Maintain visibility of priorities, milestones, risks, and dependencies Stakeholder & Vendor Management Coordinate collaboration between internal teams and external vendors Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams Represent the project at senior leadership and executive level Drive decision-making through structured communication Governance & Delivery Control Establish strong project governance frameworks Oversee project reporting, budgeting, and timeline adherence Manage risks, issues, and escalation processes Handle change management and scope adjustments effectively Solution & Delivery Oversight Review vendor proposals and validate technical/business alignment Track deliverables using appropriate project management tools Maintain oversight of technical architecture at a high level Required Experience & Skills Core Experience 7-10+ years of IT Project Management experience Proven delivery of large-scale strategic projects (>500 PD) Experience working within international and cross-functional environments Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams Demonstrated leadership in vendor-driven delivery models Technical Exposure Experience with custom software delivery (ideally .NET environments) Exposure to SAP ecosystems Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS) considered a strong advantage Ability to understand technical architecture at a conceptual level Methodology & Tools Agile mindset with practical Agile delivery experience Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools Experience with: MS Office Suite Jira Confluence Certifications (Preferred) PMP PRINCE2 Soft Skills & Leadership Attributes Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong executive stakeholder management capability High professionalism, integrity, and accountability Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Detail-oriented with strong deadline and budget ownership Ability to build trust across senior leadership and vendor organisations Apply Today!
